The Joy of Writing Sex Scenes
Central Coast Writers
Sex scenes are notoriously difficult to write. How far do you go (so to speak) in what you allow the reader to see? What words do you use? And what if your children/parents/co-workers read your sex scenes? Your character’s sex lives can be an integral part of both their development and the movement of your story.
So how do we writers approach this delicate subject? In this discussion, I will talk about techniques to overcome any hesitancy about writing a sex scene, and how to write about sex in a way that is true to your character and story.
